SurpriseA Poem by HopeI arrived home after almost a year of being away.Restoration in perfect hope, Nostalgia recovered, no remorse. Autumn winds brings Summer's end; Fin'lly home, I do pretend. Apple cider, pumpkin seeds, Falling snow bring me to ease. Football games, I cann't complain, Daddy's arms, for me, sustain. Fire burning, burning logs, At my feet are my dear dogs. I close my eyes and then realize I am at home to my surprise. © 2011 HopeAuthor's Note
