It Was Only a Dream

It Was Only a Dream

A Poem by Hope
"

Wrote this in my Stats class today. How did I come up with this? No idea.

"

Living a nightmare, my eyes have seen

       the beautiful blessings of a dream.

Seething shadows and lurking beasts;

       no more evil up there you see.

Lasting peace, a hopeful calm,

       tranquil love and a chanted psalm.

Peace and hope we long to hold,

       always in darkness one lies in the cold.

Death immortal, pain so cruel;

       ne'er to breathe from the air, my jewell.

Forever runnning yet locked in,

       can't escape from the place you've been.

Waking from a dream refreshed;

       it is in paradise where, in love, we met.

Peace surrounds my heart which pounds;

       waking from my dream I ne'er thought I'd see.
