Love.

Love.

A Poem by Hope
"

I'm so tired of that word being tossed about as if it is nothing.

"

Love

How can a simple word have so grand a meaning

So powerful we are infatuated

So alluring, we forget about the life we're living

Yet with each passing time, we deceive, we change and we lie.

Love

No longer contains respect

Love

No longer cares to protect

Love

Such a fateful word.

Love it used to be;

So full of life and naught of strife.

So full of hope and grace when he saw her face.

So committed to endure even when the sun perturbs.

Through dark shadows, under rain, in a cov'nant they remained.

I like it it is short simple, and it says everything it needs to say. I do however think the ending is abrupt. It flows so beautifully, and then BAM there is the end. Like a wall that you run into.

Other than that great job!!

Would you mind reviewing my work?
