Starry Night

Starry Night

A Poem by Hope
"

Ekphrastic Poem #3 ^_^

"

A starry night and a café all in lights,

A city’s people chatting around;

Though, not a single clue leading us to the truth.

All seems well, yet none look swell, a

Painful day and mournful night;

The murder of life’s love, all too contrite.

Regretting what has passed,

All agree to forget at last.

Hope
At least, it was an attempt at modern ekphrastic poetry.

A very nice and I think sucessful effort, Hope. It looks like a Van Gogh.

Good picture. Did you find the picture and that give you the idea, or did you look for it after writing the poem?
