We cover up our pain with a mask of joy.

MASKED

You have to know a person before you judge.

Somethings we do is to cover up our pain.

Not all tears shed is for our present pain,

but for how long we've been strong.

We've suffered for years unend,

we locked the pain behind the door,

away from the world.

We wear a brave and joyful mask,

You know, if we were ever to unmask ourselves,

you would have to look away,

Not in horror,

but in shame,

for all you did to us.

But we prefer not to show the broken side of us.
