You took my change of heart for granted, so now I have no choice.

THE MISTAKE

I've given you room,

So you took advantage of it,

Forgetting who I used to be.

You've called me all sorts of names,

So I decided to change.

Not that I cared,

But I wanted to remember, 

How trusting someone felt like.

Well, I guess I was wrong,

To have ever thought you were different.

It's my fault,

I let my guard down.

At least,

This is never going to happen again.

So thank you for the lesson,

And reminding me why,

I never let my guard down.
