All She Could Do

All She Could Do

A Chapter by Sins

The truth is that she doesn't want it to end. After four long years she’s finally figured that out. She's afraid for her future, she's scared that she won't make it, or something will go wrong. The worry is constant, and she knows that it's not healthy. Anxiety fills up her entire being, pushing her down when she tries to get up. It's always been a constant struggle, she's always been on the edge of panic. Fire knows now that she wants a future, despite the constant struggle and endless worries. She wants to go out there and tackle life down, brace it to the ground and take control of it herself. She also wants to meet new people, have new friends.

I'll do it, she tells herself, tomorrow I'll go out there and seize the day, meet someone new, gain an accomplice to follow me in my raid through life.

The next day, Fire sat with Sunshine early in the morning as her friend socialized with many others going about their comings and goings of the day. She so wanted to join, but just as she'd be about to open her mouth and speak her mind, her voice would be swallowed up by a heart-racing panic and bone-chilling sweat. Before she could reach out and sense something new, voices of impending doom would surround and compact down on her anew. It's all she can do, when Sunshine looks down at her curiously, to smile, chuckle, or nod in return.

Oh my dearest love, how I never knew your true feelings makes me sigh in distress, but I am ever so glad that today we are friends of the deepest accord, the darkest and strongest bonds that hold us together will never break and we will be together forever. I am glad to say that I am a constant in your life, it brings me joy.
