Poverty Over Power

Poverty Over Power

A Poem by SinnerInspired
"

My point of view

"
Diamonds thousand dollar cars
You all act like filthy rich stars
The rich swim in gold
Many are selfish, envious& cold
The there's the poor who drown in financial dept
I dreamt of a better life as I slept
~~~~~
Eight year old kids working
Out late at night, where death is lurking
My hands full of dirt
Messy hair, stained shirt, torn apart skirt
Took a long walk& saw the bodies laying lifeless
Its true pain& suffering is timeless
A mother holds her dead child
I pretend the baby's just sleeping for a while
~~~~~
My boots have holes
And I can't take it anymore
We shouldn't be working all day, were only kids
Why won't you realize what it is you did?
Look up at the stars
Hope that tings won't forever be this hard
~~~~~
The big difference between them& us is that we live everyday like its our last
We sit for hours remembering our broken past
All of us had to fend for ourselves
Without anyone's help
Were the ones who remain
We live under the shadows of fame
Our saviors disappeared
That's when we learned we had to be strong& not fear
~~~~~
You can lock your doors
But you won't be able to survive this war
Look at us, the kids life's you destroyed
Homeless girls& boys
Nothing left for us to lose
All we feel is hatred towards all of you
Al we can say is get ready for whats coming
I'll give you a head start, you better start running
