My heart pounding so fast a tear slips away 

Your leaving 

Your out of my reach

It melts my heart that I had to be the princess 

That I couldn't be the poor peasant girl you had just fallen in love with

It all seemed so much better in the story 

In the script

In my head 

You caressing my cheek holding my hand& asking me to marry you for the rest of your life

 I was so close I could see it

Me playing with your hair

You in a nice suit

I in my eighteenth century dress

So close to your lips until a string pulled me back

That's when I realized I'm not the one to decide what others people life is suppose to be

Its a fantasy to real to be fake

I walk out this book disappointed yet again

My dress ruffled into shreds

My hair full of dirt& my heart so empty

I hope to one day come across to someone real

Amazing! I certainly relate to the love-thought-fairy-tale ending like a nightmare, that longing born of circumstance. I can't spesak for others, but this one speaks to me quite literally.
