Grim Reapers' GrimoireA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)A simple palindrome. Palindromes are sentences/poems that can be read backwards for a different meaning. Most palindromes require this by each word. For this poem, each line instead. Read both ways.Grim Reapers’ Grimoire
What does it mean to kill for God? To scribble every name in the pages of this maelstrom? To take what you were never given And write over it until white waters turn black skies Until blacklight becomes whiteout, white-noise, black-notes No one ever has to know The foundation that carries you down below No one has to know How heavy one fallen life is to carry Up the steps The mind is an elevator shaft, is a hollow stage A battleground, and a solitary confinement in every cell of its being Being here is a solitary confinement in every cell of its being It is hard as brick and mortar Not to slip through the cracks I will not staple shut the spine of this story The cover of all these words and pages I will knot stitch the hole in your heart and call you human You are like me now You are grim now You are my book I wrote you Be proud to hear me ramble ensembles of sentences Let me tell the tale It’s all you’ll leave behind © 2020 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
