Blood and GutsA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Inspired by the song "Blood and Guts, and Guts and Blood" A haunting orchestral song from a tragic story called Berserk. Very short poem by my standards.Blood and Guts
Raped of God and reason Heart still beating, blood still bleeding, lungs still breathing They took what made the human man Left the devil to be damned Meant to die a young fledgling hawk Where the raven’s Salem flocked Praised, as a mercenary in the cold Wings unravelling in henceforth fold Flying figures fallen leaves Left them hanging by the trees In a gentle loving breeze Bathed in the vials of disgrace Left in faith to find his fate To know his duty, know his place And still he carries ball and chain With a certain calm disdain © 2020 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
