HatredA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Isolation leads to hatred, hatred leads to violence, violence leads to pain, pain isolates all.Sometimes you have to put a smile on when your life’s wasted, when you're disgraced, let it dissipate, keep your conscience awake Grow telephones in your burrow, nothing will cure your sorrow If you have to beg for it, why would I give you forgiveness? Stand tall livid, satanic, privileged victim Bathe in sickness, soap of wicked, black liquid, blood thickens, figments of ligaments, sing with me, nothing but a fantasy Stagger past my shame Watch the sky rain again Yeah it does affect me, this hatred, but if I am to show weakness, I will be mutilated Sing with me, for your rights Sing until silence, when I die tonight I feel like an unlovable child, savage and vile, defiled and wild I want to burn the whole house down, I want to punch until my hands are bloody But I don’t I just sit here and write I’m sick of me I’m sick of being mistreated, I’m sick of being obsolete and digging deeper into a grave-like rave with the reaper Most people just laugh, they seem to think I don’t deserve to be protected What prophetic perfection Calm and collected, there is no correct way to live, but I’m not good enough to do so, and not right enough to be happy, so I guess I don’t enjoy it either I don’t like bullies, they’re so much better than me, I envy them I could never be pitied, for all the things I never did They have a vendetta to hurt others, but they’re actually cared for My family is eating, they don’t even ask me if I want anything I don’t But I wish I had the gull to be given the decision to partake, or pass You can say what you like, I think with my own brain And I don't smile with my own mouth anymore Of course I can feel the hatred Why wouldn’t I? © 2019 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
