A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

I added on to my poem In One Phrase, and this is the result. I find it fuller. Really enjoyed the process of writing it. Words are beautiful things.

"

Every muscle sings in unison

Like a musician who plays each note by the throat

Every nerve tingles, every single cell

The body burns on blood, runs through the numerous veins

Arteries harmony beats through the thick meat

Equivocate tranquillity passes virtuously purposeful binding the column-like spine

The chasm shadows a battleground into the soul, a hole in his heart

The spit withers on his lips

The heart beats passionately, irrationally

The words litter his mind, in the width of his fists, falling through the sands of his fingers

The leviathan quietly denies his fate

Feels society’s hate, like the tears falling from his face

His skin’s sermon surfaces in the sweat of deathlike regret

No self-respect, nothing left but excremental memories

Disassembled as the treble elevator travels down another level

Swallow the past and breathe, gasp rasp the words murdered

Connected circuits, vertical to the bullet like an overloaded moment

He opens his mouth slowly, only another uniformed morning, solely for composing a beautiful maelstrom

Whisper closing, stutter clutters, blossoming bliss, almost missed a hit in the glistening pistons, caught on it, spit it blistering, floral eustoma, burning hot euphoria, exploding poems from a sour throat

River current of words worship, the poet orbits the corbels coming out of his mouth

The poet swells and explodes poetry openly weeping dreams

Frozen air floating desperate to hear the mangled message, an effigy of god

The absolute abstract masterpiece of concrete wordplay

Groping at the themes of this heartfelt, lung wailed, love trailed, jungle of a beautiful being

In a momentary second, yesterday fades away to a dark mattered haze, heaven beckons a maze, every puzzle piece complete, assailants of his beat defeated, obsolete, the poet is whole, his song is holy, his soul is unafraid

Majesty is fragile as a page, but every word remade screams rain, to attain perfect formless frame, reborn again, a Big Bang of creation-like grenades, a poem explosion, all in one phrase, destruction is art, after one fluctuationed eruption of every fibre and muscle, only passion remains, as the bubbles of creativity rumble, waiting for the soil to boil over, steaming ferocity, oceans of emotion, and lava-currents of emerging purpose, wait in assurance, for the word hurricanes, and the rhyme to rain wordplay and prose made out of roses again, while the poet contemplates, in his extravagate lava word stream of moonbeams, a hybrid of fleeting reasonlessness and a laboratory, communicates in unison with beautiful silent names, awake, eyes open, headaches, and waiting to throw it all away

For another day, endlessly

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

This has nothing to do with the poem, but autocorrect made one of my better rhymes into the words `steamed vegetables` without me noticing on my phone. I had to fix it, but I can`t remember the word. Autocorrect, am I right?

wow. great piece. catchy title. a smorgasbord of deep words and images. many memorable lines and images - too many too mention. powerful ending. carpe diem - reminds me of "Seize the day, put very little trust in tomorrow." ... :)

I enjoyed that very much, words themselves I wouldn't say are beautiful but they can mean beautiful things when the right people put them together in the right ways. Amazing that every work of literature from billions of writers is all just a different combination of the same 26 letters, don't you think.

Anyway this was a beautiful peace, It was so passionate, I love music and it seemed to talk about how music feels, how much the sound can effect more that you even notice sometimes. Nice work Jack.

Quite shorter than most of your poems. Loved the way it ended with "For another day endlessly". Enjoyed the poem so far.
And I agree "Words are beautiful things"
Just keep on writing! 😉
Good luck!
