Fading into YesterdayA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Reads each line from top to bottom, then bottom to top. I wrote this poem months ago, figured I'd revisit it, and edited it a few weeks ago, and here I am now, posting it.I feel alone here By myself Always only cold
Fleeting, like summer snow I do not know Why the world shows me it’s back
Why does the sky cry bright lights in the black pastures Why must reality master and muster the people simply to prosper Lost here, under the stars that dream to dance with the falling leaves like their still 18
A sky that seems the sky looks down on me, but when I look at the sky I see meaning More than just a ruby studded ceiling, more than just a feeling Something engaging worth saving in an earth ball revealing the concert hurt on mother earth to only be
Nothing but a drop of bloody humanity in a velvet sea, bleeding, needing to be seen Travelled gravel, like an old railroad, being free to go enlist in battle with this existence
But soon to be fleeting like the summer snow
Always only cold By myself I feel alone here
But we’re not that far away waiting to fade into yesterday © 2018 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
