Reality

Reality

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

This is how I face my reality. Don't take it so seriously. Everything faces their own reality their own way. But this is merely subjective in the eyes and lives of others.

"

Mark my blood on your hands, and stand strong

Or I will pull you down with me

Break my neck and sever my spine

Or I will contort you with the strings of my mind and turn you into a puppet

Devise to burn the evidence

Or my presence will remain ever present stained on your insides incandescent

Remember me, in all my madness and not give a f**k splendor

Or I will render cold harsh reality just like December and dine on your fear, your courage dismembered

Fight me on equal ground, equal footing, and if you shouldn’t

I will talk down your charisma and bury you under it

Do not run from me, my truth, or my mission, my dreams, or my goals, my conditions, do not steal them from me

Or you are only an obstacle on my path to enlightenment, and I will chase you down and make you swallow your words like vitamins

Do not call me a monster, or your prey

You better pray this forest is a democracy, for I am the hunter of beasts, silencing the heart that beats and the lungs that breath with such artistry that a wolf is unbecoming of me, leaving you stunned blood running the bleed feeding me eternally on your insanity internally at home to be alone in the face of a thousand warriors, fully glorious and still notoriously stuck standing up and not giving a f**k

Retreat, take your seat and remain obsolete

And I will let you be, I believe in humanity before calamity, even if you never gave it to me

Face fear, face the person who refused to die

And you will bleed where you lie, don’t decide to waste my time

Hate me, initiating and favouring your insanity over my deprivation

And I will live on

Call me what you will

But know that you are a liar

Hate me, but for the same hypocritical reasons that I hate you

And know you are no different from the hate you have for a fictional habitual ritual so formidable and unbreakable that you could forsake it all to believe the cofinality and see the scene you wish to be your reality under the circumcision these thoughts have risen beginning to be driven invalidly to cowardly put truths kept inside and listen to the lies your living, until it’s as sure and flowery as the sunrise your given

Love me, accept me, respect me, neglecting the mismemories you want to see inside of me

And I will do the same for you. I will shelter you, I will protect you, I will help you, I will love you, I will live for you.

But if not, I will see you as a human being, an equal

Because no one should ever be able to take that away from you

Because no one deserves to be nothing, in a world of somethings

To face everything as unforgiving, and horribly unlovable, as reality

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
This is how I face my reality. Don't take it so seriously. Everything faces their own reality their own way. But this is merely subjective in the eyes and lives of others. This is how we understand different views, our own perception helps us to learn, and disagree. Malleable as putty, a hard harsh truth is unbreakable. But how you perceive it is as fluid is water.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

I believe in humanity before calamity

Love this line. Acceptance of the human condition? or rage against it?
Why Why Why?
Do we not seek to join the embers of a dying sun to know ourselves as having existed?

Thank you!
life goes on,greed rises and the hunger for power prevails
we cry out in anger but they hide behind the bills we let them pass

You describe things so beautifully that readers feel that everything is happening in front of them. The poem has a perfect start and a perfect end. It ends beautifully with "To face everything as unforgiving, and horribly unlovable, as reality". But don't you think that reality is sometimes very awesome? ...At least I believe that.
Yesterday I was just wishing to read a new poem and look you came up with a new one! I am really feeling very good at this coincidence.

Thank You for sharing! It really refreshed me. I will be completing my new artwork within a few days, I will share it soon.

Good luck for the next one.

You try too hard. In every way I mean that.

Shorten this, cut down the whole "macho I know better" act... it'll read be better.

I mean no offense... but you sound like a scorned wannabee tough guy teenager with a vocabulary. And that's not a good look.
