Interlinking

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

A poem I wrote that was inspired by and in the style of Treachery, a poem by a musician called Shirō Sagisu. I poured my pain into this one.

"

You can lie, and then say your work is justified

We can cry, but in the end, you decide who dies

You can grieve, having the belief that we’re beneath your feet

We never mattered, blood splatters here for you to defeat

You can be a cheat then say that you speak nothing but the truth

Killing off the weak controlling minds your morals deplorably loose

You can say that we deserved it, that we choose the noose

I never asked for discrimination a broken nation crumbled from abuse

My heart bleeds but you’ll never see me fall or share my sorrow

You started planting seeds of hate I watched you grow tomorrow

I remember when first your onslaught began, how you ran the show you borrowed

The sin you committed admitting death was your one demand blow after blow

I lost hope I lost family lost many friends

All so that you could feel happy with my life like putty right in your hands

I’m angry don’t know when this pain, when this destruction will end

More poison, more blame erupts from the ground around every bend

Soul rending apathy I’m dreading how my days will end

Broken heart broken bones mend my body moaning nothing left to defend

I’m alone soon to be broken because I’ve spoken started hoping again

I will be open with how the fiends got away with murdering men

Blood-curdling because everything you’ve done is fair

We’re not people, not human, there’s no reason to care

I have nothing but the burden that you’ve forced me to bare

The tortured memories that dismembered me I can never share

I’ve been blamed for someone else’s crimes because you don’t want reality to jump upon them

Blame me, shame me, like all the other fallen

Crimes don’t count, I scream and shout, but you don’t hear a word

It doesn’t matter what I haven’t done, what I say today it will never be heard

Murder what happened erase my opinion now you’re winning happy?

Take every sapling every child, grow a forest sing your chorus perfect sappy

Dead cannot speak we are too weak to you we’re less than worthless

And if you think you can erase the things you know that happened like it’s your purpose

Then end reality become a god with your high as sky misshapen laughing while we’re sinking

And while we’re screaming you’ll be beaming eyes gleaming happy winking

Despite my effort everything thing I've said and lived through the very way I'm thinking

I can’t help but feel broken torn to shreds, battered shattered worthless hurt is interlinking

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.
