Unusual TormentA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)A poem from the mind of someone broken, unwell, not thinking clearly, and obviously mentally illUnusual Torment Silver eyes in night skies The dead will rise with poisoned knifes Brains that fried, half alive Tears that cry, truths that lie Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth Another soul dies, tied another noose Loose limbs can’t even begin to rot in the sin Roasted coated bloated skin on spit does not even spin Killing kin losers like me never win Begging to begin, sipping blood like gin The devils' grin, my skull smiles back Storm’s harlequin, death’s joker, wild on crack Hells gates are open, the souls are riled, broken Torment is a tasty spice, cruel men have spoken, life is far too mild, I’m vomiting, choking Silver eyes can only try to make me abide by laws that science defied sly I’ll keep bleeding poetry until I’m parched, dry, I’m just that kind of grisly guy For no reason, I don’t know why, but lesions try to spread my blood red goodbyes from inside my mind Speaking words so high they drop like flies Freaking family ties that have become undone Dried tears that no longer run Whispered words for a forgotten son Sanctioned songs for the ones who went wrong Lighting bonfires to freeze the perspiring choir, hired liars burning pires of bone for tired solemn hearts made of stone Dead unknown, life that’s loaned Blood hail like fallen snow From frail frozen forgottens that no one knows We bail our sinking rotten ship it’s about to blow Screams that groan, drugs that heal Electric chair throne, I’m a fool that feels Done with words, and chasing the devil’s heels No more four-leaf clovers, unlucky, I’m keeling over Drunk on your poems meant to be sober Reality is no war, hell is frozen over © 2017 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
