Don't be AngryA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)A quick poem about how humans don't consider other humans their equals.Don’t be angry
Don’t be angry when you’re not accepted Don’t be angry when you’re neglected Don’t be angry, respect it, our hatred Because it’s fate snitch, you’ve been bewitched by a quick switch, you were at the top, so drown at the bottom of the ocean, under our boots Don’t be angry or I’ll shoot Don’t be angry when you’re betrayed by your fearful friends Don’t be angry when your tearful family meets their end Don’t be angry, don’t be hectic, or we’ll correct it, our payment collected Which you should have sent but instead, you spent it on yourself and everyone else who helped you out, we’ll give you a real reason to pout about Don’t be angry if we silence you and shout our propaganda, all because you demand an apology Don’t be angry when we bury the truth because it’s passed away Don’t be angry that you can’t last another day with the pain Don’t be angry, you’ve been selected, to be perfected left bloodied in the cold heat of reality, your no longer free Because you couldn’t be the same as me, therefore I can’t see you as human Don’t be angry, you may be fuming, but our flowers of hate are blooming, be happy, like the scent? They smell like the blood of the innocent Don’t be angry, because if you are, we’ll strike you down before you can yell for mercy You don’t have the courtesy of speaking because all who are weak are fit to be stepped on We are flowers, and you are weeds, don’t you see you need to be picked? The garden is overflowing with flower petals But all the other plants have been uprooted Don’t be angry, little weed, your unsuited for this earth, find your place six feet below the dirt because you aren’t worth a place in our backyard I try not to be angry, but when I look at your garden of flowers, it’s really hard I try not to be angry, but you’ve gone too far © 2017 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
