Until I Hear ItA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)I was listening to some music and decided to write a poem about the experienceLet’s break this down Pound for pound Letter by letter Note by note Music is the only sound The pick me up that floats my boat Pass me the soap I’m taking a bath in the flowing rhythm and rhyme Keepin’ the time Allegro bro, that’s dope I’m just gonna soak Take a seat and listen to the beat and meet The magical feat that is found in our minds Every brain cell hears the signs, listens, rewinds Blind to everything but the feeling Music is a sign of a mind healing If seeing is believing Then hearing is knowing Blowing notes out of a trumpet Hearing hopes from the drums Strings from the guitar make gold out of bars Listen in a studio or a car I don’t care But I’ll never be prepared for the next beat until I hear it © 2017 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
