Night Biking EscapismA Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Biking through my hometown at night.Biking through the town Seeing people walking round Seeing all the sights Car lights in the middle of the night I make my way into the park Everything’s starting to get a little dark The sun is setting in the sky Pink clouds and orange light passes by As the town goes quiet, peaceful Some would prefer a nighttime riot, but it’s not that way tonight The sun is reflecting off Lake Ontario for the last time today Leaving the town quiet, serene, gray I make my way back home on the usual path Riding on through the dark with no hands, inciting the night’s wrath Testing out my balance, taking in the views Forgetting about my valiant effort to get up for school tomorrow, true But it was worth it Some things have to wait When you need to escape © 2017 R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)Author's Note
