I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by sinNsincerity

Is a mouthful of cavities that has annihilated

the lust out of our Sweetart hearts.

Is a beat skipped from the scratch

in the groove. Is an unspoken kiss

that could lead to a house

full of kids. Is the split of a chocolate

Twix. Is your marshmallow moans.

Is a caterpillar finally finding a way to fly away

because of longing to taste the freshness

of leaves before they fall. Is dandelions

vomiting sunsets. Is a fountain full

of quarters. Is all the times I played

while the screen read GAME OVER.

Is waking up with a dried tongue and a leg

cramp at three in the morning with no

glass of water to reach for. Is Owen Hart

up in the rafters ready to jump

50 ft. trusting the harness.

Is geronimo

Swoosh,

             zip,

                   splat.

A lot of descriptive verses in this poem. Every line trying to express the complexity of what you feel. A very unique one!

Dandelions vomiting sunsets. Now there is a truly unique image. A lot of those in this work, all intended to express the inexpressible words "I love you." The Owen Hart part at the end lent a touch of dark comedy to the piece. If I knew who Owen Hart is (or was), it might be more meaningful to me.

wow ... unique creative emotive imaging sin! ... lots of lines like: "Is your marshmallow moans" or "..dandelions vomiting sunsets." but honestly almost every line in "I Love You" makes me wish I thought of them ;) universal .. easy rhythm .. vivid creative imaging ..emotive..universal and relatable ... with a very graphic fall in closing .. ouch! .. its a keeper says i!

Yayyyyy!!!! Wow this was a cacophony of fantastic images one after the other. Love the chaotic style and irreverent ending. Really loved this!!!!

Vivid and powerful imagery.
‘Dandelions vomiting sunsets’, I particularly love this one.
Nicely written.

you have a raw and naked voice that somehow manages to come across as sweet and lovely but said from a sharp tongue tough and honest and always has a rap inside it wrapped up in a shoelace

Love the images created by this poem. "Marshmallow moans" soft and sweet, almost pure (even tho it'd be ironic to call a moan pure I guess). "dandelions vomiting sunsets" is a brilliant description too. What I love the most about this is how simple the descriptions are: "a fountain full of quarters," for example. You make the daily common things the perfect paint to color the images your reader sees. Beautifully executed.
