Thus far, my favorite poem from you. Everything works well in this poem, structure, word choice, flow, etc. As the reader, I get a clear image of a beautiful but manipulative woman, deeply insecure (which is why she doesn't allow anyone as close as the writer wants to be). Frustration and desperation are strong emotions I pick up, and streaks of bitterness (for the rejection, refusal to love, recognize, etc). An enjoyable read, as all good poetry is.

I'm glad you had enjoyed it Robert and for thinking so.
David, these two brief lines spoke volumes to me...and I simply had to tell you so!

Thank you for reading Kelly, I'm delighted to hear that. Hold on...
This poem was written so naturally that I feel like I was carried along with it. So beautiful and elegant and when read aloud it flows so nicely which I think is so important when considering what makes good poetry. As well as this, the images in this are so mystical and eerie, I feel like you have explored love in a way that we may not usually consider. Amazing!

Thank you for thinking so, that is the goal. I use force, but I do not force it.
