I like the beginning- let's not tell all, make it last, as well as love laid on your back, and the expressions of love being like a spark- great visual images to communicate that. Got a little lost with the phrasing about giving the ancients heart attacks because they are not here. But back with you in the secrets, the west, holding you up . . . The simplicity of the first part - something I relate to in saving something for later- was the part that drew me in and helped me know your intent. When you move to the ancients I feel far away from you. Perhaps that is what it is like- closer-farther-closer - in those early days of discovery. Thanks for a thought-provoking read.

The love I'm describing between me and a once loved one is so great that only the two of us could comprehend it at the time being, while the outside world would not until that time was no more... placing them in a different realm in a sense.
I've been leaning a lot about juxtaposition by setting things up one way and then switching away from that to make the reader think, " what the hell is going on?" It's fun for me to make people really give some thought into what they are reading.

I liked this- the first time I read it I was thinking okay, that's cool, but I gave it a second read and caught the things like "made in China" versus breaks easily like China... cool thanks for the suggestion

Yea, I remember how when I was a kid all my toys would last for ages even though I would try to destroy them with fireworks and by other means and how my toys would never break apart, and now how everything is made in China, every thing sucks. I wanted to allude that same concept with how love is most of the time, not all, but how everyone is just f*****g around and materialistic.
you are a word smith. I cant help but feel like you were truly born to write and we are just lucky to be gifted with your work

And to know that I was going to culinary arts school and dropped out to write and study all aspects of it. I'm doing my best to master is and allowing it t master me. I work hard at this and It's all I have. There are so many people in my life who think I've made the wrong choice with my career change, but they truly don't take the time to try to understand why I'm doing this. Failure is not an option for me.

It seems rather cynical, this poem. But I guess most people adopt the "love does not last" mindset. We cannot expect a generation who "happily" get married and divorced thrice in one decade to think any other way. I guess their coping mechanism is to take love's life support off from the start and just live for the moment, in sporadic bursts of short-term love.
Made in China love.......classic....:)

Everyone experiences it differently every single time and that can make things confusing for some. I tend to mind my own and live in my own zone and love how Jesus would want me to love. Not always on point but that's life and just a small fraction of it...

The one that I'll eventually meet. And not to mention that I'm a Cancer 69, that makes me highly attracted to the moon.
"Things break easily now.
Everything is made in China."
It's so true. Things do break easily now. Promises, hearts... etc. Nothing stays the same but I enjoyed the theme of making the most of the here and now.
Always great. I don't know how you do it!

I think she's on her lasting breath, so everything must be precise now. At least when we take it slow, we can see mostly everything, but the mystery is worth the misery sometimes hehe
Thank you Andronicus, you are too kind!
i like the lesson, nothing last forever, first line seems like a tease of sex or of their conversing love? the shifting imagery of fake intimacy (china counterfeits.) to irreplaceable artifacts is great.. i like the title. it reminds me of "my two cents " idiom but its really a wordplay for sensai., which is witty. teacher in the arts of intercourse.

We always, no mater who the women be, fall in love fast, so this is about taking it slow this time. Thank you myEnigma, I really appreciate you spending the time to read and for leaving such an awesome review! This made my night!
Even if love lasts, it does not stay the same. Nothing is static. continually it morphs from one thing to another. Tempus fugit, carpe diam. great write.. really like the love artifacts. its a great description.
