"I may not be a heart surgeon for when the heart is hurting.
Though I will always be there during the darkest moments when you don't want the sun light to peek through the curtains."
Made the tears come, Love how your writing sometimes speak to me, especially when I need to hear it. Despite its from you, its still good to spontaneously read something you NEED/WANT to hear. Do you know what I mean. Thank you. I needed to cry.

I'm a man, but hey, tears are nothing to be ashamed about. Tears cleanse the soul sometimes...not always. sucks, but I'm the type that lets a lot of s**t pass right on by 'till I hit a breaking point every so often. It's rare, bit it happens.
To me, those lines are very sincere and hold so much value to me because it's a sense of security even thought nothing can really be done, but it says, "hey, I'm still here for you."
It means the world to me that I could speak and connect to you. That makes it all worth it to me.
Just know your not alone and your great. Just keep writing about it and it'll help you get though the pain.
This is a poem sighs were made for - so beautifully soft and romantic. "I pray to god that we'll never run out of pages" - wow! A powerful ending that touched my heart.

Thank you so much Julie! That is so wonderful to hear and it makes me smile.
Thank you!
Amen to that. I like that last line, togetherness and contentment are a priceless pair. Then, there's indeed much more to the 'Mother Moon' than alliteration. She's such a guide, a comfort. This was one of those absorbing poem where almost all lines connect to the brain-wires and in different ways. The words produce some beautiful images in the mind-eyes, those about sitting lonesome on a bright night, playing four square and seeing so much of the then-hidden meaning in the game, love how you put in quotes the "I was within and without". The we are a "we" rather than you are mine line, it beautifully shows the slight difference between the lovely mutual-belonging-feeling and the despicable possessiveness. The lines about the darkest moments showed understanding, overall an adorable work.

Starry influences seem to effect the noble soul. Who am I to judge whether your soul is noble? I have seen your moon in my own eyes.

Sometimes I fall short, but failure is nonexistent to me. I just approach everything as a learning experience and then I make adjustments in my life...
Thank you Al!
You have a lot going on in this one. The moon that determines your tides and reflects light and joy; the joy of innocence of four square that you convey on her; your within, living inside yourself and without of being alone; the solid-state of We; the comfortable darkness, that shields and nurtures, and that never-ending story book.
Great stuff, all of it.

I used the four square to represent our love's pureness rather than a sexual approach. More compassion rather than passion alone...
I'm glad you had some fun with this Jan. Thank you!

That's everlasting and people get that twisted with love, which is why relationships in this day and age never last...It's sad and that my friend breaks my heart. That makes me smile that you feel the same about the moon Jacob because I felt like I was crazy for having such feelings.
