I didn't know you know French!!! Ah, you and I are alike in this, I usually gather memories in boxes and gently set them free into the sea (literally!). Though probably all in my head, I feel a heavy weight lift off my shoulders. A new beginning commences. Adieu et bon voyage indeed to yesterdays!

That is so awesome! I have only done that once, but there are times where I write things that I want to let go into the abyss; in which, I feel no one else should read or know - not even myself, so I burn them.
Most days I feel like do that to all my works, but then I think twice about it and post them on here now.

This poem flows very nicely, and I love the imagery that you evoke with your diction. The concept of using the ocean as a metaphor for "moving on" in life was clever and unique. Can't wait to read some of your other work.
love the straight forward language and form ... bing bam boom .. into the wicked ocean it goes .. love it! what an empowering jar for the hurt and hurting .. really like this one ...tucking it away for any future needs ;)
