My Heart's Coldest Winter

My Heart's Coldest Winter

A Poem by sinNsincerity

On these long winter days and nights...

I spend them here at home alone.

You are the life of giving me the strength to get up

out of bed to come and see you.

It’s just so cold,

I don’t want to be alone.

The suffering of this awful December

storm has broken me down as the snow,

Falling from my eyes.

I know that you are the one

to supply me with hugs and

vanish all of my fears.

Replacing them with jeers and cheers.

Just to hold you in my arms would

recover all of those broken years.

It’s now the ending of January

that proceeds to February.

Just another month closer to the

warmth of summer time…

I am feeling and knowing that

maybe one day I can say that you

are all mine as my beloved.

Coming up are the chocolates,

kisses, and the frequent wishes,

not to mention, the hopes that you’ll

be my valentine...

Very nice. Your enjabments are very good, and the fact that this has no stanzas allowes the poem to have a much better flow. At first I thought the girl had left the man, but apparently from what I understood they were never together. It is obvious that he wants her, yet I can tell that inspite of the fact that he so desperately desires her, he is somewhat afraid of her rejection.

These wintry thoughts have been put together beautifully to bring out a smoothly rolling soft like snowflakes poem, one that ends warming. Sweet and lovely piece from the past.

Your welcome!
Sin in Sincerity, I enjoyed the flow of the poem through the seasons and the words of your heart. The title is great, and the emotions also poured like summer's rain. It is a sweet poem and the ending with the hopes for Valentine's Day and the wish for love once again is beautiful. The suffering of this awful December storm has broken me down as the snow: loved this line and many more. Great work. Thank you so very much. Dale

SiS, A very starkly formatted piece that transitions into something more substantial as the months pass, just like the awakening that comes with spring, the romance that comes with Feb. 14th. Nice flow toward the end where the Valentine's wish is revealed. Almost made me wish for snow again! take care...dan
