The Dead Zone

The Dead Zone

A Poem by sinNsincerity

I write poems on the daily.

More like every

single moment.

The ones I write

in my dome.

The ones that are

left alone.

The ones that are

forever a slave to

the twilight zone.

The dead zone!

The ghost of every

dead poem I

have ever wrote…

Have no home!

Some poems are better left alone. Especially, "The ones that are
forever a slave to the twilight zone. The dead zone!"
Maybe at a later time they will be worth taking a second look.
Perhaps a new and different meaning. Not in the dead zone anymore. You'll never know unless...
Good job. Keep writing.

I think we all have poems that we love and share, some we share for reaction and some that are too personal to see the ligh of day. And of those we share, some find homes in thebheart and minds of others and some are left homeless. Such isvthe lot of a writers thoughts and dreams.

brilliant...this is very relatable! Sometimes i have so many thoughts going around in my head that i find it hard to grab them and put them down, so many are lost floating somewhere out there!! LOl

I'm glad you did!
There is a comical element to this one. Every writer and even artist can and probably would relate to this.

Thank you for thinking so hon.
They have no home, they float into the air, flying and mingling with other sounds, words, feelings. However, there's always someone who can filter them out of the debris of noises, out of the snowy picture. Be sure of it...they eventually will have a home. Well done, Sin in Sincerity. :) Rudi

Eventually indeed.
Thank you so much for reading Rudi!
Wouldn't every poet relate to this! Well I found this cool transition here, how it goes from a happy zealous feel to a neutral one and finally to end in a sad thought. There's the passion that squeezes poems out of us which feels great and there's the frustration sometimes heartbreak on missing something great which feels real real bad. Well expressed, Sin, great personification too!

Yes a lot of poems never actually make it anywhere. I have that happen a lot. Once I try to remember it, it never comes out right. They are truly ghosts of a dead poem:) very nice way of putting it

It's so blah! I hate it when that happens, but it's so cool to know that I'm not the only one. =D
totally love this idea of a crypt of poems thought of but not written...truly a dead zone...

The ghost of every

dead poem I

have ever wrote…

i think the above lines would read better if you used the word written instead of wrote...just a thought...
