Sincerity

I replaced my heart with my brain,

But the switch was no different

Because the pain of love

And the thoughts remain the same.

This is as real as it gets.

Not as,

No regrets,

And never to forget.

There’s a lot of pain that comes with feeling good

And sometimes that pain can make it hard to believe that you can feel

As good.

What am I going to be?

Where have I been?

Will I be strong?

Well you see it’s not wrong to do what my heart wants

Because my heart never got the chance to do

What I wanted.

I’m not wanting to live my life in a swamp,

Not wanting to be on top,

But just wanting to be me

Without the talk of those closest.

Allow me to strike a pose

For you to view and take notes,

But without you getting to know...

You will never know what my heart holds

And has in stored.

My heart is my sword,

So I’ll live by it and die by it.

‘Till then,

I’ll just write about it.

I’m embracing my faith

And that my life will one day be history

And there’s no misery.

It’s all peace,

No greed,

And no needs,

But to be happy!

My eyes have seen sorrow,

But I glorify the beauty of life as a witness

Of the first breath of a new born baby!

My worst enemy is me,

What a journey,

And life?

Will not be eternity...

And this is all sincerity!

You've gathered all your genuine feelings and mixed it into one poem, creating a delicious vinaigrette (eh...in English it's a salad dressing, but for us Russians it is a salad haha). But one resounding emotion takes flight here and that is to be happy! To be the way you want to be, to believe in what you want to believe, to love the way you want to love...and that means to be happy.

This is detailed in sincere as its title proclaims.
I do believe it can use some work but then all tbr best poems can.
I also find myself conflicted as i think the errors within this poem are what give it its life. Its flow...

This is one of my earliest poems, I think I wrote this in 2010 when I began to think about making writing my life. I really didn't take it seriously 'till 2013. It could use some work, but I could never find it in my heart to go back an tamper with my earlier writes. I think it's a great bar to show me how far I have come in a small amount of time.

Yes, when I first began to do it, it was to only vent. It was my only escape, but then I began to do it to be good at it and for the readers. And now I do it for the beauty I see in it and much more that has yet be shown. There's still something missing.

Just don't give up and be brutally honest about it. Truth heals and can never be trampled.
You will never be able to win over 100 % of the readers, but if you're true to yourself, the majority will love and appreciate what you always have to say.

I really, really, really loved that line. Because it's true.

Once you've endured so much pain, it's like you're almost scared of happiness. That's why there are people (like me) that won't let happiness take full course.
