Learning Curve

A Poem by sinNsincerity

Learning Curve

Unique to my total dedication to knowledge.

Few take advantage,

But most let it go to waste.

In spite of the adversities,

Success is all I desire!

Not falling for the bait of lies,

So I follow my heart more often than my eyes.

I have come too far to allow the pirates to retrieve the prize.

Live with hope and faith instead of envy and despise.

I’m full of sorrow when I hear people and nature cry.

With perseverance I try to bring joy,

Though the stigma of non-acceptance thrives

And tries to break me down.

It’s the same nightmare over and over again.

Am I to be haunted by this?

I have been apart of too much tragedy to be polite,

But my soul remains to burn and shine bright!

Lend me your hand please!

I’m not here to harm you...

I really like this piece... like the purpose and especially these lines... "Live with hope and faith instead of envy and despise. I’m full of sorrow when I hear people and nature cry." We can't waste time in life living with envy and despise... we have to love with hope and faith as that is what will carry our happiness. Awesome work buddy!

As close as you can get to his perspective I mean * :$
A very interesting write. I enjoyed the insight of a tormented soul not allowing it to define you as a person. I think everyone has a dark side to them but when you find reason and purpose to be better then it...you will. And the fight only makes you stronger. Love it.

I love this poem so much especially the line "So I follow my heart more often than my eyes", I do the same, its a risk, a risk many should take, you may just find happiness in it, People will always run into pain, whether taking a chance in something or not.

Yes!! I agree, I think it's worth the experience.
To over come such pain, to push through the nightmare of it all.. as the past lingers trying to cling on while you are trying to break free from it and move on ....Yes you are a bright soul SweetSin and you deserve your time to shine!!
Just loved this one...it was like you were speaking to us all (if that make sense) !! :)

It makes total sense to me hon and I totally love what this poem relayed to you!
This sounded like the story of a student, enthusiastically learning while also observing other students around him and fighting non-acceptance. It's like a race, isn't it, some try to reach the finishing line while others lose their sense of direction and become obstacles for the dedicated ones. There are a lot of positive and inspiring lines in your poem here, and as long as they remain in the heart of the student as well, there are the greatest chances of success. Great piece!

Living in happiness is a very personal thing to do
Enclosed in pure love towards oneself and everyone
That's the trick

Let light shine from within
