It all or nothing with the narrator here. No half-measures. It an intensity that could scare all but the most determined so that makes the search even harder - the options are much narrower for hearts that want to fall quickly and wholly into love. The romanticised notion of 'The One' is probably at work here. Believeing in movies and songs and yes even poems help set us up for the great disappointment
The final lasting image of the lions is wonderful, Sin.
Good write my friend.

Haha toche' Anto. Thank you for reading and leaving a note sir!
Lion rolling in dandelions. Would be a interesting vision. I like the energy of the words and the positive flow of thoughts leading to a very good ending. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
Coyote
Once again, you hammer it straight home. There is a sense of despondency, of hoping that hope you know is hopeless, but you hope it anyway because imagining anything else would be too painful.
This, right here:
I want you to
have it all.
Not just a piece of me.
The echo of my own heart - to be wanted as a whole, not a simple distraction, not as a time-filler, not on a per-diem basis. I know the pain all too well of having to settle for being such.
This poem really touched me. Your honesty makes this even harder to read.
i like the idea of the Love Dynasty---and rolling around in love...but i also think of stevie nicks singing "rulers make bad lovers, better put your kingdom up for sale"---
but so often i have felt this...really wanting to be able to fully love someone, but having to settle for friendship..it's tough when you want to give and receive more.
nicely worded.
