When we first laid in my bed, you asked the simple question,

“How are you still single?”

I fell in love with a ghost and I didn't know it 'till she was gone...

I love you and I miss you,

But if I think about you one more time "

I might just blow my mind

Was I so blind to let you into my life?

Without a call you've walked out.

Where have you gone?

Is there a heart never to belong?

Was I wrong to let my heart believe that you were the right one?

My love is a lie because you are my love,

So please give me a lie.

First comes a sigh,

Then the tears fall from my eyes,

Then follows a cry.

All I ever wanted was to press your heart against mine.

I want to understand,

But how can I if you don't keep me in your plans?

You say you can't keep this going...

What the Hell does that even mean?

Living without meaning because you lost the meaning of living with me.

And I hate the tick-tocks because you are not mine within this time.

I know what I want,

And I want you now!

Are you waiting for someone who won't want you?

I need to know!

The continual silence...

I'm losing sleep because I'm losing you,

So I'm losing me!

Was I crazy to believe that we were meant to be?

Can't you see that I am hurting?

I know that our love is true,

But the truth is "

I'll never be able to exist with you.

At this point in my life,

All of my blessings feel as if they weren’t for me.

I can't lay in my bed without seeing you by my side.

To be honest I just need you to be honest.

Please tell me if you want me to be one with the forgotten.

To live forever without my forever has left my heart rotten…

I hate it when this type of story keeps repeating over and over. Nearly everyone goes through something like this and its kind of sad that many people can relate to this poem. It is so sad when one falls in love truly and deeply and the other person just leaves because it never meant nothing to them.
"You say you can't keep this going...
What the Hell does that even mean?" They leave you thinking like this. Your poem made me think about all of this and how I've seen this happen to many friends and people I know. Great job! This is a very emotional piece of writing that screams its words out loud.

Very sad indeed and I'm still and probably will not ever understand, that's life huh...
This was one that I needed to write, so that I could slowly move on. I still miss her.

It did hurt and I can't dare to think of her because it tears me to pieces.
I now understand that we were meant to be, but just for that small moment.
She was everything I wanted and needed at that moment and she gave it to me even though she left me... it was just meant to be for just that moment and I will always thank God for that no matter how sad it makes me. She did take about 300 of my poems with her. I am mad about that still hahaha

I like the name "Yesenia'. A name with meaning and strength. I like the thoughts and the emotions in the words. I roamed South and Central American for two year with the Army. Some people make us wish for nights we cannot find again. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I used to love it, but I fucken hate it now haha
Nah, not really, but for a moment I did because she left me without telling my why. She just went ghost on me. I couldn't understand why because everything was perfect up to that point.
The way I look at it now is that she was just a small blessing that I needed just for a small moment and nothing more....
