I’m writing this letter out to an amazing lady friend of mine who goes by the name of Ashley Marie.

She inspires me like no other.

She says that I can do wonders and great things with my poetry.

She really believes in me,

in what I say,

And what I can do even when I don’t.

It touches her soul when I read to her.

To me, hearing my words spoken is whatever,

Just my life caught up by the stormy weather.

“You need to follow your heart and bring your soul along to make your dream into a reality”

She says.

“We’ll see what happens”

I replied.

She said,

“No! You need to make s**t happen!”

She gives me a confidence that rises higher than the skyscrapers that rest above the clouds in Manhattan.

I’m catching a cab and I’m on my way…

F**k the fame because it’ll most likely drive me even more insane.

If I can connect with one soul,

Give another a new hope,

Make another not feel alone,

And to make one who is holding my writings and have them feel as if they’re in possession of gold,

Then I can truly say I have reached my goal!

Thank you Ashley Marie!

For you are living proof of what I,

You,

And what the whole world can do!

The heavens will proclaim my words of the truth!

Hi Sin in Sincerity. This is a beautiful write!!! Love the honesty that flows from the words, there are several lines that standout fractionally, but tit would detract from the whole, if took them from the entirety!! I had to write about her. Our relationship was simply just a friendship, but I have never fell in love with a women and felt like she seen me for who I really am. And that played great dividends to me.
I haven't spoken to hear in years because we have both got lost in the world.
I will always love her because she was the first to tell me that my writing was really good and gave me the confidence to share my writing with the world.

Thank you Chad! The Ashley that I speak of is an old friend I use to know when I was living in Los Angeles a few years back.
This was an old write and holds so much sentiment with me, so I'm glad you read this. It rook me back...

One, for the poetry and rhyme but even more so because it is a factual reference to a friend who inspired you.
