Seems more like the inner demon we hold inside us which takes over us only too often...
"Two lonely natives, city lives, and living wild; though, raised to love..."
This line attracted me the most. Also "let's go in alone together" was a good one.
Interesting twist at the end.. I enjoyed reading this.

The inner demons, yes, but also symbolic of split personality disorder.....one soul, dual entities fighting over it. The key is which one will win. Not because it is the stronger side, but because you let it.
Amazing! This is thrilling. Your dark companion represents maheim and that control we exhibit not to kill them all. Thank you for sharing and God Bless
It becomes so bad in a good way when you mentioned it was you. That was dark, sad and vivid poetry in there. Good emotions all around. I need a little more imagery though. All in all, well done. :)
gripping psychological experience on the dark side .. i think you could leave off the final confessional line .. for me it weakens your very vivid experience ..the reference to Atticus is very intriguing .. great title for the poem .. this:
"The pain is refreshed as my heart is rotting." just kills the optimist in me .. i can be positive to naïveté .. ;} fine piece of dark poetry says i!

Well done I can really relate to this, just this morning I woke up thinking if our minds are as powerful to create negative manifestations, think what we could achieve if we turned it around to positive manifestations!!! I'm working on that today and everyday after that - brilliant work :)

It just takes understanding of your on mind and being fully conscientious. I once read a book about hermetic teachings and one chapter spoke about polarities and it totally changed me. It showed me that if someone was pissing me off, I could easily stop my thoughts and those feeling and flip it upside down because mad and happy lie in the same spectrum. they are both the same and we have a choice in picking which side we want to dwell on.
