RedA Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider
Confusion
stumbles along unwelcome. My heart skips twisting suddenly. My stomach growls A caged beast within Stirring storms And leaving me red. Impulsive My touch becomes destructive My voice a boom of thunder. My chest heaves Like waves crashing against the cliff side. Intense winds attempting to calm the storm. I am left with shame a dew upon my shoulders An ever present regret An ever present reminder. My throat tightens the last of the rain forming in my eyes. I wish to forget you I will never forget you. © 2014 Nicholas HagenschneiderReviews
