Until now

Until now

A Poem by Wesley
"

That feeling that comes when you hear about love

"
Through the story of others
The thought of love
Everlasting and true
Comes before me

Until now

I was able to go on in life
Pretending you don't exist
Focusing on the things of the world
Money and career
Career and money

But the power of love
Brings me to my knees
It sinks deep in side of me
To a depth
No one knows exist

It makes me rise up
For I can not sit still
Its like an illness
Or an aching pain
It overcomes me
And I must go

I walk late at night
With my hat pulled down low
Collar turned up
to block the wind
Down the streets I go
I gaze at the moon and the stars
I talk to God above
Trying to find a way
To soothe my soul

I pray and hope
And hope and pray
That you are well
That you will have joy
And find the good things in life someday

I testify about you deserving these things
Your kind heart
Your willingness to care
Your sweet spirit
And healing touch
I only hoped I could love someone so much

How great a thing it is
To hurt and ache as I do
I feel blessed
To have loved
Someone like you

I was watching a movie. It was a story of love. I couldn't bear it, so I walked out and went down the road. I wrote this poem while walking in the cold.

so touching and sweet, especially the last three lines it is like saying there is no single regret of having loved somebody.
