Restless

Deep in the souls quiet place

Never captured

Through the darkness

But felt like deaths cold

It crawls the walls in small haunting voices

That shutter and scurry about

Closed in shut away

Scratching underneath with a gentle since of dreadful presence

Steps pace in spurts that barely exist

The souls travel dwells alone

Mystifying visions lay ahead in long calm paths that shed no light

The inhales treasured tranquil and adorn peaceful agony

This place of endless punishment one feels alone

In constant disturbed slumber

Scared by dreams

Just a restless soul

But not alone

Wow, this piece definitely hit home...it evokes a place that many of us don't wish to go, and try to avoid going to as much as possible, yet sure enough I find myself in this place a lot, and your words have truly crystallized that state of mind I feel in these times...there is some deep and phenomenal imagery in here that really drives home that feeling of despair...

Steps pace in spurts that barely exist...awesome line, definitely my favourite but every line just throbs with emotion and restlessness, as the title suggests...great work, love this one :)

As the Soul is boundless the space inside is vast and most of it inhabited by our dark and unresolved experiences isn't a wonder then that this writing will share with us the silence associated with it. The coldness, the haunting voices the presence the sensations of travelling and the activity letting us know that it is perceived and it is restless.
