Amaranthos

Amaranthos

A Poem by SineadJulia
"

Inspired by the Greek word Amaranthos. Meaning unfading.

"

Amaranthos,

the beauty of an unfading flower.

Glistening eternally in a world less beautiful,

seeping love like liquid fire.

The beauty of an unfading flower,

frozen delicately with the strength of time.

Seeping love like liquid fire,

burning away all anguish.

Frozen delicately with the strength of time,

her heart a flame that can’t be covered.

Burning away all anguish,

she lives on while others die.

Her heart a flame that can’t be covered,

She lights the night for those who wander.

She lives on while others die,

a guardian angel she is.

She lights the night for those who wander,

her roots spread hope like living water.

A guardian angel she is,

to all those who endure harsh winters.

Her roots spread hope like living water,

glistening eternally in a world less beautiful.

To all those who endure harsh winters,

Amaranthos.
