Can't make funnies

D'oh!!

I can't make funnies

for that alone

kicked myself in the gut

resulted in landing on my butt

I tried making potions for it

may be two

it made my hair drastically grow

and boy! it's shiny too

Later i babbled and dabbled

here and there

made people smile and giggle

they called me witty weasel 

I decided to make a grand entrance

a center-stage

laughter roared, mouths wide apart

funny thing; I didn't yet start

Till this day I racked my brains

deep and through

did they loose it or turned loonies  

cos I cant make funnies

I made a great start 

or just forgot my pants!!

Quite a funny poem. I would say to brush up on grammar, but as you are from a place where you do not speak English, so it is forgivable.

A fresh moment of humour. Or humour attempt as you let us know. I have to be honest with you I finding it difficult to relate to the theme. I believe firmly that life as it is presents us with enough Irony that if desired you can't find pecularities which should appear funny. But if I'm reading it right this is more of an attempt at creative writing and within that intention the development of comedy as such. One of the most difficult genre. I can't even begin to understand how they do it or what does it take. So the writing has the aspects of light heartedness, quirkyness, topsy turvy moments, language manipulation to suit the expressions and that attitude of humble which are all part and puzzle of what is needed in order to make people smile.

Yeah Sindu comedy is tough see writing it is hardly funny which is why I put that in. In fact most of them use writers to write the material and is hard going. Then when they present it on stage they get great laughs.... Strange isn't it? Thankyou for the invite .

The comedians definetly are Heroes as they do the impossible of changing a normal script to outright hilarious.
