Play of Words

Play of Words

A Poem by Sindu
"

Why poetry means so much to me.. Also the inspiration (challenge)

"

It is a divine interposition

of my mundane life,

chasing this will

to view this alphabet soup,

clear and through.

This ability to string the words,

step away from 'pros'e and 'con'trary notions

while bearing the wrath of grammar aristocrats;

yet, unfolding my untold narration

evoked from my deep emotions.

At times it educes unbridled joy

Or shares my gloom and despair;

let's me paint a picture,

takes me on a journey.

These words play a creative one on me!

Creative enough to let myself be me.

Thus, a bit free.

Hello there!

This is truly a unique response to the challenge!

It's written so well and crafted so nicely, I can definitely tell that poetry--weaving words together with such intense emotions--is your inspiration. But I think that you captured why we all--or, most of us--write poetry: to escape and be free. Your diction when you write is so alive--the words come to life!

Your first stanza grabbed me and the rest did not disappoint! A beautiful poem about the beauty of poetry!

Thank you for sharing this, I truly enjoyed reading it!

On some level every poet does I guess, yes. Thanks a lot Pushkar :)
Freedom of soul seems to be common theme of most of your poems and rightly so. Writing is your sword to fight the mediocrity and ignorance we face in the everyday life and you are doing good job in this.

The weaving of words can definitely be an inspiration, in deed. Such a unique idea. I'm a watcher myself (hence the peeping poet :P ) Very well done.

Hey, that's great! Cheers!!
Words have the power to wound or to elevate the soul. Well penned.

NOTE: Did you want the reader to read ['pros'e] as "proz-ee" I'm unsure what your intent there was.

I agree. Words are amazing tools. Can make us dream, cry and laugh. Each writer shared a part of them in the words. I like your logic and reasons for writing. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
