You stand there

You stand there

A Poem by Joy Lynn B.

You stand there,

looking at me,

wondering why I'm crying,

after you hit me,

to many times.

My soul is darkened,

by the things you taughten me,

in the words you put in my heart,

that is,

no more.

Is this what you wanted,

me to go on with life,

with a worry of death,

just around the corner,

well that's what you did.

Great piece, and i can feel the hurt and blame in it.

Wow. A dark theme incorporated within this short poem. A lot of people can relate to this I'm sure. Is this perhaps based on a personal experience? :/ I wouldn't like that to be the case.. But it still is a very good piece.. Well done.
