The Hero

Wrote this in 6th grade for black history month. It's about Martin Luther King Jr.

The man was born January 15, 1929,

A hero for us all,

No one,

Not even superman would face what he did,

A hero who would face night sticks and tear gas,

For black equality,

He forces a drive for racial discrimination,

The hero,

Who was living a threat of death and felt discouraged every now and then and felt his works in vane,

Who has seen the Promised Land,

A man with a dream,

The leader of the free world,

A hero that never really died,

A hero who we’ll never for get.
