A Girl and a FlowerA Poem by JaniceFor thine has picked 1000 flowers
But none to be as fair as you
As you possess the scent of succulent and sensuous love
That brings a smitten smile unto thy wounded heart
For you alone possess the eyes of forbidden beauty
As you expose so freely to me all of your glorious splendor
Allowing me to completely take you in
And inhale you deep inside of my aching soul
I shall caress your stem firmly
Abundant with prickly and spiny thorns
So sharp that they pierce deeply into my transparent skin
To reveal unto me liquid droplets of my red agony
To let me feel thy throbbing
Pain once again
I have come to recognize now
That I am truly alive within you
For I shall rejoice in our farewell
As I gently pluck your soft and silky pedals one by one
I can almost feel you fiercely trembling now
Between my tender finger tips
Almost as if you are pleading with me to stop
But for you I shall not
As you to me are still the fairest of them all
So in grave tribute to you
I will now save you from a withered and darkened death
I shall toss you up back unto the virgin earth
and let the unruly winds carry you away
Where I will humbly sacrifice you to the next
Who shall stumble unto your supreme but silent wisdom
and awe-inspiring grace
