"Silent Cries of the Weeping Willow Tree"

"Silent Cries of the Weeping Willow Tree"

A Poem by Janice

Have you ever heard my laughter in the thunder or seen my teardrops in the rain?

Do you ever feel the life that I’m now living without you in it

when the tornadoes come whipping through like an overpowering freight train?

Do you ever feel me inside your veins on a cold and windy day…

as you begin to tremble and shiver and you start to quiver

as your icy blood freezes and now feels like liquid clay?

When the sun is out and the heat becomes unbearable do you feel me inside of your soul…

When the temperature rises so high that it causes your thoughts to now boil over

as they begin to spin right out of control?

And when the fog is dense and heavy

do you ever feel the weight of me begin to come crashing down…

and all your able to see is the outline of me

so closely shadowing against the dismal and gloomy ground?

When the clouds are thick and becoming grey

and covers up the natural suns light…

does your bright and sunny day now turn to black

as you dream of me on a dark and lonely night?

When your at the beach and you hear the waves

come gradually crashing up against the sea shore…

do you hear my name within their sounds

and hope that perhaps they’ll speak to you even more?

When you listen to the songs of birds on a beautiful spring day,

do you wonder if their singing because they see that I’m happy

and it’s the only way for them to relay….

“That what it is I truly feel is that I've been weathered

and at times I feel like the calm before the storm.

I feel every minute without you in it

and at times it leaves me bitter and cold

and sometimes times very warm”…

“I can only wonder if you ever experience these same feelings as me…

The one who sings not to the songs of birds

but to the silent cries of the Weeping Willow Tree”?
