Lovely Shade of Grey

Lovely Shade of Grey

A Poem by Tanner

I feel my life passing, as little more than a blur

No today, no tomorrow, no love, no hurt

Much like the grey shades in masquerades,

The ones that could never flatter,

I'm standing in a crowd, doing my best to matter

I watch the reds, the blues, the yellows, the golds

Catching every eye with the warmth of their tones

My eyes too drift across the floor

When I suddenly see her

Red like no other rose I have seen before

She takes a step, a second, a third

Her eyes somehow find me, as she stops and turns

Towards me, she slowly makes her way

And when she arrives, towards me she starts to say

"Oh my goodness, what a lovely shade of grey"

About
Well, I absolutely LOVE music. My tops are, of course: Rise Against, A Day to Remember, Angels and Airwaves, and Mayday Parade. It would simply take to long to list all my favorite bands, but mostly.. more..
