Beastly DiscoveryA Poem by Savannah SawyerJust in time for a not-too-scary Halloween spook.
Hiding your head
Under your covers Won't ward away The beast you've discovered She'll rattle your windows And slam your shutters She'll send chills down your spine Like no wicked other As fear overcomes you And sets your bones to a quiver You'll take on the coldness Of a full body shiver She's here for you And for your unborn When she comes for her feast You won't be warned She'll come through the windows And hide beneath your bed Once she gets hands on you You're best considered dead She'll drink your blood And eat out your heart She'll think it's the sweetest And not a bit tart © 2013 Savannah SawyerAuthor's Note
