Irony In and of Itself

Irony In and of Itself

A Poem by SimplyOlivia
"

I have reached a point of irony: calling religion class hell. Sure it's not out of the norm, but still.

"

I sit in this shell

Waiting to get out of this hell

All of this talk of sex

Sitting in a classroom with my ex

I'm dying to get out of here

My cheek streaked with a single tear

All of this should disappear

Love, my dear

Save me from here

What used to be the best

Has joined with the rest

Now it all is filled with hate

And at this rate

I'm going to suffocate

I'm going to lose this battle

The insides of my body rattle

With the cold wind that blows

I make it so that it shows

I'm ready to go

So

Take me from this place baby
