Missing

Missing

A Poem by SimplyOlivia
"

French class

"

You watch her intently

Just like I wish you would watch me

I get occasional glances now

I used to get jokes

And smiles

Especially when I’d stick out my tongue

I really miss those days

I know you are close to her

But it’s very true

I miss you

And you’ve told me

That you like me

And subconsciously

I know you miss me, too

My friends say they can see it

But I don’t want to believe it

Cause I don’t want to be let down

I miss you terribly

I want to help

And I know it’s hard

But I wish you’d let me in

I shall wait until you let me in.

I miss you, Jean.
