Why I Write

The writing speaks for itself

I write because it dispels.

It dispels the depression

The inner demons.

My emotions flow out of me

Like the ink from the pen onto the page.

How it works

I do not know.

But I pick up a pen

And it flows.

The words and emotions flow.

Words flow instead of the blood

Forth through and out of my veins.

Writing is my saving grace.

I find my place and words flow.

Flow like the river

At the bottom of this mountain.

The river, like my writing,

Flows

Dispelling the inner demons

And depression.

I can watch it all flow away.

You express your feelings well in this. Writing can wash away lots of bad things that hang on our shoulders like cobwebs of yesterday and yesteryear. Like shelves under the stream that drop off tiny waterfalls the level of pain and depression seem to fall away.

To a writer, his blood's his words streaming through his veins all ov'r his body from top to very bottom, & his ink - his heart - is what that leaps down an every thread of his knots - the knots of thoughts - in pages for the removal of depression off his very mind.
