Pain.

Pain.

A Poem by Kate

Pain

I lie here,

Curled in upon myself,

While dark thoughts,

Plague my brain.

The silent sobs wrack my entire form,

Tears falling down my face,

Leaving salty trails,

In their wake.

The pain is agony,

Torture at its worst.

My chest is but a gaping wound,

Becoming larger and larger with each excruciating moment.

Their words are replayed in my mind,

Over and over again,

Like some sadistic, masochistic film,

The pain, it becomes too much,

And the darkness, it descends,

And claims me.

This is a very powerful poem. You've captured a moment perfectly with your words that explains how many people have felt at one time or another. Great job :)
