Would you

Would you

A Poem by Simone Davis

Would you dance with me ...
Sunkissed till moonlight...
Lie with me untill mornings first light....
Hold my hand and craddle me,
Till I fall fast asleep
Encourage me to just be me...
Love me for my insanity...
Tame the reckless and wicked me..
I want to run wild and free...
Knowing you are truely with me.

Words to hold on to when all else fails. Touching and meaningful. Anyones dream of a loving and purposeful relationship. Great work!

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. This one is deliciously sweet and inviting to the right one that holds the other half of your beating heart.

Aloha,

Alisa

Great poem I love the way you jump right in. Your images are smooth and beautiful.

I love the way you describe this narrator's needs as being wild & unexpected, instead of predictable love requests which bore me (pet peeve). I love: "encourage me to just be me" . . . and the last two lines especially. This is exactly the kind of love I wish I'd found in life, but I never did (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
